Well, I'm recovering from lasik about a week ago and have found it most interesting that I am still tethered to glasses, but now they are reading glasses. Argh! I guess it could be worse (I could be blind), but it is a big adjustment. The good thing is, reading glasses are cheap and they can be so very, very cute - I love to be groovy as it is (ROFL).
I have to post a photo of the amazing trunk I found at a local antique shop. I know it's not old, but isn't it just a FABULOUS coffee table? It's actually quite huge, but I'm going to put a beautiful long dough bowl on it eventually. Ignore the mess in the background - still remodeling here (argh) Can you believe we only paid $75? It's fully lined with cedar - YUM
So today is window and door day - holy moly. The troops should decend on us in about 4 hours to start installing all the new windows and doors and I'm totally not ready. The house is still upside down and a mess, but every day we are one step closer to getting it all cleaned up so I can start stitching again - CAN'T WAIT! I'll be quilting and stitching my needlework soon - I just know it.
Well - off to fold mountains of laundry and TRY to get this place semi-organized for the window and door convention later this morning.
Amy
